Low Protein

Got. the results of my latest blood test. My potassium is 3.2' still a little low but they are happy with it. They put me back. on furosemide, 20mg, spironolactone, 50mg, and. potassium chloride, 20 MEQ, twice a day. The home health care nurse is coming tomorrow to take out my picc line because it looks like the vancomycin got rid of the infection.

Now, transplant tells me that my protein levels are low, and they want me to supplement my diet with a nutrition shake. Anybody out there have to consume these drinks? I am concerned because I have lost 40 over the past two years (Much needed) and do not want to gain any weight as I am still about 40lbs from my goal. Also, do grocery stores carry these drinks. I went to their websites, and Walmart carries them, but I hate shopping there. I am a member of Sam's Club because they carry my flavored water. Would they carry bulk amounts of these supplements.

Mt husband was drinking an ensure with every meal.  I could find them by the case (30 count vanilla only) at Costco (like a Sam's Club) for $30 per case.  That was the least expensive I could find.  I also would order other flavors from the Wal-Mart website.
