Thanks for the info, Mitzi. Mayo is taking great care of me, but it's always good to have info on other places to share with others.
It's good that you are getting your breathing problem checked out. In the recent pulmonary testing, chest CT and X-rays, there was some damage from my decades of being a 2-pack a day smoker--though I quite 8 1/2 yrs. ago. The damage was already done, and I'm just grateful that it is minimal. I had a problem with SOB and racing heart several years ago when I tried a walking routine. I saw a cardiologist at Mayo who said there was nothing wrong with my heart--after testing--that it was deconditioning from not getting any exercise for months during my many surgeries, esp. with the hips. So it could be the same with you, but who knows?
The true BRAT diet for a stomach virus or diarrhea is Broth, Rice, Applesauce, and dry Toast. However, the one you are on is fine for what you're using it for. Check out some of the Lean Cuisine chicken entrees. They are on sale at Publix now for $2 to $2.50 each. You will get your protein and they are pretty tasty, plus lower in sodium that other brands. I like the one with sweet potatoes.
Hugs,
Connie
