Emma,

Insomnia is a side effect of pred. Most people on high doses have this effect, some, however, do not. It causes your thoughts to never shut off and makes you jittery. It was like having 20 cups of coffee and it got worse the longer I was on the 40mg. The effects were gone when I made it down to 10 mg a day.

Thank you so much for the update. I have been tangled up in some stuff with my mom, she just had a total pancreatectomy and had a stroke and some other stuff and finally got my Mayo appts. I was trying to contact Connie and am so glad this happened for her! I knew there was a reason I didn't hear from her! I just know she will be better soon, hopefully she will be back in time that when I go down beginning of December, I will hear from her. I am so happy. This is truly great. Prayers answered! Now she just has to "heal well"! My love and prayers to her!
