my name is debbie. im 33 yrs old and am a full caregiver to my mom (65)

my mom had an AVM (bad blood vessel in her brain) she was treated with radiation and it gave her "late raction to radiation" side effect. lots of brain swelling, damaged brain tissue. the treatment did take care of the AVM after 7 yrs she just had surgery to remove it. it has all left her very much in need of care though. long term predisone use, and a stroke made the sistuation much worse. so im here to listen, share, and actually join when i googled predisone/damage to teeth.

Welcome to Healing Well. I am so sorry that your mom is so sick, she is lucky to have a loving daughter to care for her. This particular forum on Healing Well is for hepatitis and liver disease. You may want to check out the Caregivers Sharing Thread. Here caregivers share ideas, vent, etc. The comments regarding health issues on that thread center around liver disease, but the caregiving aspect certainly spans all illnesses.

Hi, Debbie. As HealthyNow mentioned, this is a forum for liver disease patients and their caregivers/family members. However, as Emma also suggested, you might want to check out the Caregivers thread as you can get a lot of info and support there. You might also try doing a search on Google for Caregiver forums.

Remember to take care of yourself so you don't burn out quickly.
