New my house cleaned and I'm disabled

I just lost my income and have to sell my house asap. My problem is I have MS, Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue sysdrome, severe migraine headaches and on top of that severe depression has set in. I have no family to helpl and I an agoraphobic so I have no friends. I'm in desperate need for someone to help me clean my house for it to be ready to show real estate agents asap. I'm scared to death. In fact I would welcome death but I know the Lord is with me and He will never abandon me at the worst point in my life. If you can help me or maybe lead me in the right direction I would appreciate it more than you could imagine. Thank for listens. I live in Rockland County, New York by the way. God Bless, Mary.

Good luck mary, Im in Seattle. Maybe you are forgetting something. You mentioned our heavenly father in your post, You hit the nail on the head. He will not abandon you. Neither will your church. Reach out to them. If you have ben down and not able to attend recently dont feel bad, They will help. I did look online at your location and my church has wonderful programs for people such as yourself. Just so happens we are there too. Find the nearest Catholic Church and they will direct you to our Catholic charities for help and also to St Vincent Depaul for the needy. There is no need to be catholic. Just make the call. I apologize for being in the wrong forrum. Thanks for informing it really made a difference. Anyway thank you to the person that can see past a post being in the wrong spot. I called Catholic Charities and they told me to call my church. The nasty priest I got to speak with told me to call Catholic Charities and said the church could be of no help and then talk sarcatically to me. I appreciate the advise and your kindness though. Mary, could you hire someone to clean your house? If not, is there a MS chapter near you where you could request help?

Thank you Connie.I have called so many places, social services, my church, catholic charities, and each person just keeps giving me the same phone numbers where nobody can help me. I starting to loose hope and that's all I had left. I lost my child support which was my main source of income. I can't afford to pay attention.

If you have your house listed with a realtor, talk to the realtor about them hiring someone to clean your house and subtracting that amount from your share of the future sale proceeds. Some may do this in order to get the house sold. Many of the realtors have subcontractors that work for them.

If you haven't listed your house yet, ask potential realtors if they would be willing to do the above. I have heard of realtors doing this in a tight market, as well as having painting done, etc. They may want a higher per centage of commission however, for the time and trouble. They will have a better idea than you what needs to be done for the place to sell.
Anyway,,,it's an idea.

In my recent experiences, many of the churches are "tapped out" on funds for helping those not of their denomination. As the economy gets tighter, the funds become less available. Please don't take it personally...it's a matter of economics.

Another suggestion...This may only work in a small community where one wouldn't be fearful of getting "ripped off". Since you are selling the house and probably won't need all of your furniture, you might offer some furniture in exchange for house cleaning services. In my opinion, you are going have to offer something in exchange for someone cleaning your home. Do you have skills you could exchange with someone who would clean your home? Do you have garden veggies, in exchange? What can you offer in the way of bartering. This are just ideas. Hope that something like this can work for you.

Here we have a radio call in show, called "swap shop" and people can give their phone number and what they are looking to "swap" or "sell" or "odd jobs". This works very well for a community of 5,000.

For those that don't want to call in the radio show, you can go online and type what you want to swap. It is kind of like "Craig's List", but very local and probably much safer.

Guess we adopted us a MS gal... Mary stay with us and talk with us... we'll try and help you...support wise... Craigs list can be good or bad... we have a great one in our area... I'll think about this tonight Mary... Sandia
