Just would like to say hi

Hello Pink Grama and everyone else that could possibly remember me.  My husband Jerry was diagnosed with Cerhosis in February 2007. You all were my life for 2 and 1/2 yrs.  Jerry received his liver transplant 8/3/2009.  We have celebrated 3 Liververseries!!!!  I remember when I was going through the long nights of NO sleep and the amonia episodes I always wanted so badly to talk to someone that had a transplant.  Well I just want you all to know there is hope.  Please remember that.  My husband is living proof.  We thank God every day for Organ donors.  We lost our 39 year old son in law 2 yrs ago.  Because of what happend to my husband he was an organ donor.  Our daughter and 3 grandchildren know that he helped many people.  They do find some confort in that.  So please stay positive no matter how tough it gets.  And believe there are time you want to quit.  Bless you all.

Exhausted no more.....

Hi, Exhausted! I remember you and am so happy that Jerry is doing well. Pink Grandma retired from the forum, but we have a terrific new co-moderator, MamaLama/Carol, whose husband received a transplant shortly before I did. I am now 17 mos. post transplant. It's been a rocky road, but I'm grateful to be alive.

I wish more of our former members would check in and let us know how things are going.

Hi ex,
I received my transplant exactly 20 days after your husband and got hooked up here several months later. I'm glad to see things are going well. I've had a couple of minor setbacks, but everything is working well these days.
