I sent a note to our moderators and some folks who have posted their email on their profile that I have been having trouble posting. Three separate times I wrote long posts with lots of personal details, etc to have them zoomed off without actually posting.  Only one person said they had had some glitches.

I was so frustrated, because this part of my life is important to me. I feel like the forum helped me stay sane pre and post transplant and that Mike really needed a held together caregiver.

Since transplant, he has had some bumps that I share, but mostly I continue here because I like it and hope, in some small way, I can ease  another family's journey through the horror of liver disease.

AND, I know that the stages are out there looking to happen all over again -- with Mike and I both older and wiser, but it won't be fun. He still has Hep C and he still has lots of symptoms. 

So, I'm sorry I didn't post much yesterday. So far this morning my cursor isn't flopping around or deleting the posts as fast as I write them!

I got a note from Ziff about things to try to make this right and I updated my virus protection and logged all the way off both the site and my computer and this morning seems much better. Thanks AZ!

Let's hope it stays good!

Stuff at our house:  Mike's cardiologist upped his beta blocker again as his BP up again.  He has had a body temp of 97 or so since before transplant that has crept up to over 99 this week for some reason, the first time since transplant. We are keeping an eye on that.  His most recent viral load was lower again.  Next check ups in July. I hope he can go to 6 months checks for the cancer and TP and cardio appointments.

Mama, when I know I'm going to write a long post I open my mail and write it like I'm writing a letter. Then I come to HealingWell and copy and paste it in the thread. If it doesnt go through I still have the copy and save it to try later. I used to have a lot of problems this way but haven't in a long while. My son updated my virus protection, too. But it is frustrating when you spend so much time and then lose everything. That's why I do this.

I use AOL and sometimes I'll be in the middle of a post and AOL shuts down for no reason. UGH. Infuriating, isn't it?

You certainly HAVE helped so many of us newbies out here and helped to keep us grounded. Because of you and the usual suspects, I managed to keep most of my sanity, though hubby disagrees :), throughout my brother's ordeal. And for that we humbly thank you.
I can't promise to maintain what's left in the future tho, haha.

When I have trouble with puter the way you do, I type my post into a Word document and then paste it here. So frustrating to lose a long post. I feel your pain.

I hope Mike sails through his next follow-ups!

I have the same problem as Mama. Post in progress zooming off and it is in "post heaven, never to be seen again).

From my end, it seems as if the thread is updating while I am typing. Sometimes a new tab window opens as I am typing. I have been a regular board poster on multiple boards for over a decade. I have problems at HW all the time. (Ok.. while typing this short note, my favorites tab opened, then a new tab bar opened. So frustrating!) Often, I just do not try again. (Ok, while typing just now, the font size zoomed in). I love it here, but seems like a glitch. I thought it was just me. Hugs, themiz

I've never experienced this problem, so didn't know what to suggest other than logging out and back in. I'm glad that Ziff was able to help. I think it must be a personal computer issue. If anyone has this problem, try Ziff's suggestions, explained by Carol/ML.

I was upset that Carol couldn't post yesterday, as I was out all day. However, my "backups" of Mae, Ziff, David, and others helped to keep the forum afloat. I hope things go better for everyone today.

We've had reports of some issues like that caused by one of the ads using the Firefox browser. What browser are you using?



If you are using Firefox, I recommend switching to Internet Explorer, or better yet, Google Chrome.

I just posted that message from Peter. I use Firefox and like it. I will not use Microsoft or Google as hackers go after both, but seem to avoid Firefox as not that many people use it. My connection to HW now moves slowly, but other than that no problems with other sites.

 I had this issue in the past before I upgraded my Windows xp to the latest version of Windows ( It was on sale for 30.00 online ) . When I had Xp I couldn't use Explorer ( too slow and hung up ) so I used Firefox also . Firefox updates it's browser very frequently and that's good for safety concerns but it creates havoc with some antivirus software add-ons and Java script ( other stuff normally that people unknowingly use on a p.c while browsing ) . Unless those programs update each time firefox sends a newer version out it may cause a problem until the other stuff is updated .

 I noticed my wifes laptop has updated Firefox twice in the last few weeks and here computer is acting strange also . She doesn't social network so nothing like this would be a issue . When I changed to the new IE I found it to be equally as fast as Firefox and the updates aren't disruptive . Just remember to allow updates from legitimate software . I'm not a tech I just found out by trial and error . Glad I could help though and Carol I believe you and Mike will be O.K smilewinkgrin .

I use IE, so have no idea what my problem is. I used firefox a few years ago and loved it. Can not recall why I went back to IE.

But....I have other online forums that don't have the reply's or posting zoom off into post heaven, and never open other windows. I muddle through and hope it is just me. :/ miz
