I haven't been on this site in a while and just found out about Connie. I'm so very sorry to hear this after all she went through. Just doesn't seem fair after helping so many. I first found this board soon after Dean was diagnosed with liver cancer and I functioned on auto pilot for long after his surgery. The answers I needed were always here. I always received reassurance that things were on track and received a heads up on what would happen next. Connie, David, and many others got us through that nightmare. Dean is still doing great 3 1/2 years post transplant. 3- 1mg tablets of Rappamune a day. I still worry sometimes but try to enjoy each day. None of us is promised tomorrow. I am thankful for every day I share with him. Thank you for everything Connie. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Connie was a special person. I'll bump up some of the comments folks have shared. Her sister posted some wonderful things also.

Am really glad that Dean is doing so well 3.5 years post transplant. Mike is 2.5 years post and doing well also. We wish we could get him into a Hep C treatment program as that is our worry.

Yes, he's golfing but the Hep C is still a concern. I looked up the link for the new meds but it didn't look like any trials are started yet in our Tampa area. He still gets blood work once a month but they haven't done a viral load, AFP, or scans in ages. They took him off Prograff soon after transplant and switched to Rappamune. That's been working well so far. Is there a thread about the new trials?

Welcome back Linda!! Glad to hear your good news!! Sorry you had to hear about Connie after the fact like this. What an amazing woman!!

Thank you. I hope there will be something that works. He went through treatment twice and it came back.
