Viral Load results

Can anyone explain the significance of my Viral Load results? Just got them as follows:
HCV RNA, QUANTITATIVE REAL TIME PCR <15 IU/mL My Result: 6406075
HCV RNA, QUANTITATIVE REAL TIME PCR <1.18 Log IU/mL My Result: <6.81

kw, i read your previous posts, and wanted to add, that your viral load is not very high. todays DAAs(tx drugs) make viral loads plummet in a matter of days and weeks. i started tx with a v/l of 21,000,000, and was undetectable in 3 weeks, using 1st generation DAAs. today, viral loads are really only used to diagnose a active infection , and to monitor the effectiveness of your tx.
how many weeks are you treating, 16 or 24 weeks?

Thank you so much for your blog.
I am a 59 year old male with hep c type 2.
I am on day 40 of Sovaldi & Riba for the most part it has been tolerable the RIBA is tough for me, Fatigue headaches stomach cramps insomnia, it is tolerable and I hope and pray saving my life.
I was diagnosed over 40 years ago and maintained annual blood work ultrasounds and 3 biopsies 2 years ago my enzymes were elevated and my viral load was 14 million stage 3 of 4. Late last year my doctor said I was a perfect candidate for the new treatment.
I am a little concerned I got the results from my 30 day blood work my enzymes were good my viral load was 108 my doctor said in the trials that over 92 pct were non detectable. Doctor said we will do 60 day blood and hopefully levels are down or God willing non-detectable.
Any one who can share there experience strength and hope I would appreciate the support. I am trying to remain positive!
