John, this is good news. Some of our Canadian folks have spoken of this duo pack delivery of their meds and have taken matters into their own hands a bit already. Thanks for this, (I fixed your url so it is "hot".) ML

I'm one of the first in my Canadian city to begin Sovaldi+Ribavirin treatment and just before my treatment began I was told
"The Ribavirin is packaged with Peg Interferon, you can just throw it out as you won't be using that"
I laughed and said that would be ridiculous first of all to throw syringes with medication in the garbage and they then told me "We can dispose of this for you also if you prefer"
My first dosage was disposed of HOWEVER my remaining does I asked them to save and at the end of my treatment I asked for my Peg-Interferon to be donated to my local Hepatitis Support Center as I was told they have a *compassion* program and I felt the least I could do was donate this medicine if it could help.
While I refused to take the Interferon myself unless I would have been forced too and because of the side effects I have no problems whatsoever donating something that my health coverage paid for instead of simply throwing it away...what a waste that would have been!
My local Hepatitis Support Center was thankful for the donation and told me the compassion program could use it no problem.
