Hi there Hep 97, they started me on treatment with mine at 83,000. I'm on week 3 and they've come up a little. I don't bruise terribly with my blood draws now. Wishing you the very best,

I'm on 24 weeks of sovaldi and ribavirin. Just finished week 3 today. So far so good!!! Did they say they might not start you?

By the way, I too have portal hypertension with esophageal varices and on nadolol. I've been banded three times and now things look a lot better in there the doc says. So something's working. I'm pulling for you!

You bet Hep97. Again, mine have varied from pretty low to within the low range of normal. I think this is common for cirrhosis. Hang in there- it was pretty stressful waiting to see when I was going to get started and what the protocol would be. Now, I'm just doing what I need to do. I'm sending you great stuff.
