Post solvaldi & olysio muscle and joint pain

Hi everyone! I just finished up my solvaldi & olysio treatment 3 days ago and I am having pretty severe joint and muscle pain. I should mention that I had this pain for along time which my doc had contributed to my hep c. Then on this round of tx it seemed to get worse, but compared to my prior 3 rounds of peg interferon and the triple tx with incevek which all were full term, this to was a cake walk. I have probably had hep c for thirty years and I am 1a and my VL was 4 mil ➕. My 4 week labs were undetectable and liver functions were normal, first time since I found out I had hep c. I am not complaining but I am hoping this pain will subside soon. Tough to do the work I do with this pain. I worked everyday on all my treatments and I'm certainly not bragging but it wasn't easy. Having said that the joint and muscle pain is the only real side effect I have had on this new miracle drug combo. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. It sounds like your pain and muscle aches have been with you a long time. Perhaps this is a flair, related to Hep C, treatment, or maybe something else?

You say you treated 3 times with interferon, once with the addition of Incivik, and a 4th treatment with Olysio/Solvaldi. I really have high hopes for you with this new treatment, and wish you my best.

My husband, themister, does not have muscle aches and pain of any sort. He is about 35 plus years with Hep C, and treated with interferon/riba twice. No pain with, or without treatment, and aches only with interferon injection side fx. Other than when he had other things (broken shoulder, gallbladder, infection) pain is not his experience.

I am sure there are people with Hep C who also have pain problems, but not sure how to determine the cause. Whatever it is, let us hope you find it begins to resolve now that you are done treating. Best of luck in reaching SVR!! Big Hugs
