I was the one questioning if Naomi Judd had hep C or B, the reason being that I had written to her doctor. There was an article about
Judd's illness and remission that mentioned the doctor's name. This was some years ago. I wrote to him and asked what treatment he had provided to her. He wrote me back and said that she had hep B and not hep C. I have the letter in a box up in the closet, along with other hep C info I was accumulating when I was diagnosed in '93. Because of this doctor's letter, I never understood why it was always said that she had hep C. The hep B made more sense as she had been an RN prior to her singing career (more contagious, more exposure to it), though she could have gotten hep C from a finger stick.
It's a mystery.
