what can be done about being turned down for treatment because of mental stability?

             I have Hep.C diagnosed in may of 2000. Im having a hard time finding a hepatoligist that will help with my treatment due to my mental status. I am becoming iller and iller. I have an internal medicine Dr. that is helping to keep me comfortable but ive developed shingles in the last 4 months ,to go along with the no appitite, and extream fatigue alot of pain under my ribs on the right side. I also have A Topic Dermititas over 50% of my body so I have bloody open wounds as well and have now developed Thoracic Nerve Palsy on my right side of my body and a new rash. My last Liver Biopsy was on 07/of 2000. At that time they found mild fibebrosis. My next DR appointment is tomorrow on the 16th, in which he has said that we are scedualing a Liver biopsy. The last one I had was very painful even with morphine.my nite fevers are so bad as well as my relation ship with my husband is going down hill we dont even sleep in the same bed with all the bleading I do at nite. As for pain medication? What options are open to me? Darvon is not strong enough, and im taking perclone at nite. I was switched to vicoprophen about 6 months ago. Are there any other types of pain medication that dont have acitomenaphen?  codine/asprin, loritab/asprin? I also take valume 10mg 4 times a day, I am Manic and have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Is ther any advice I can get on the pain meds that would be suite able, and how often should I recieve a liver biopsy? please get back with me for if i can come up with any thing before tomorrow, then perhaps i can have at least a little relief.

There are lots of other meds out there for both PTSD and Bi-polar disorder that have the ability to stabilize you and will have an easier time getting treatment for the hep. Lexapro and Celexa are two that are commonly used now to treat the depression that accompaniies both disorders. Zoloft is another that has both an anti-depressant and anti-anxiety component along with several others but those are the ones most commonly used. Your psychiatrist and/or therapist should be able to help coordinate treatment with your hepatoligist. Please ask them too.
Please try and remember that both of the disorders that you mentioned do not have to be dibiliatating and are controlable.
