new liver

i just got a new liver friday the thirteenth can anyone share any setbacks i might antcipate. I came home tuesday and so far feel fine. just a little pain and pressure in the incession. how soon can i expect all the water to go away. the dr, doesn't seem to think it's anything to worry about but i think that might be part of the pressure.

Abevel2, congrats on getting a new liver!! And on Friday the 13th! That should dispel the notion of that date being unlucky. ;) You seem to be doing very well. I can't answer your questions as I haven't had a transplant...but am having the rt. lobe of the liver removed on the 30th, due to cancer.

Welcome to HW Bevel2, Congratulations on your Precious gift of life!!! My husband recieved his gift on March 16th. So far he has lost just about all the fluid, he may have a few more pounds to go. He is doing very well also, he feels better than what he has felt in years. His energy level is better. He just has some trouble sleeping, I have been told it is probaly the anti-rejection drugs. Prayres and positive thoughts for a speedy recovery!!

Congratulations :) I am not sure about what you can expect from now on, I only know that my brother went through a kidney/pancreas transplant and is doing wonderfully after 5 yrs:) Good luck and have a great life:)
