Hi Tipoil- the other poster is right- there may well be more info. on the UC site about that. I can tell you that yes, those sx are very similar to some with IBS. The funny thing about IBS is that is is really a myriad of symptoms. Yours fit right in. Mine began as a very severe nausea, dry heaving (no vomiting) and extreme fatigue (from the chronic and intense nausea). Now that the nausea has faded, I am prone to episodes of extreme abdominal pain, so much so that it leads to vomiting, sometimes explosively so (no, it's not my appendix :) While abdominal cramping (mine isn't cramping, its' more along the lines of straight pain) and diahrrea seem to be the dominant symptoms, people have many more. I normally don't have diahrrea anymore (had it in the beginning), but become constipated, trouble moving bowels, etc. You know, though I always wondered about people with Crohn's and UC who also have IBS- I always think, 'man, that sux'. I'm so sorry if you do have both- as UC is certainly a lot of stress and illness. One of my best friends has it and really suffers and struggles. I hope this has helped some and I wish you health and happiness- hope you feel better.
PS- this forum has been slower lately than usual.
