If you're really concerned then talk to your doctor...or first you could try taking chlorophyll everyday, it's known to aid with that problem.

Thank u for all the replies.  I have been a vegetarian my whole life basically.  I don't like the taste of meat and always refused to eat it when I was young.  I don't eat anything spicy or garlicy.  I eat everything very plain.  I have stopped eating sugar-free foods and foods with lots of unnatural chemicals/preservatives.  What are probiotics and what do they do?  Also, what does chloryphyll do and is it harmful at all?

Probiotics are good bacteria. Your gut is full of bacteria, and it's actually the bacteria that break down most of your food so that your body can absorb it. Sometimes stinky or excess gas can be a sign of a bacteria imbalance--too much bad bacteria. Everyone has good and bad, but if you get too much bad, then that's what can cause the gas and stink. Taking a probiotic just puts more good bacteria in your gut so that you can rebalance it. Many people take a probiotic regularly just to make sure they maintain good balance. Your gut is actually a large part of your immune system, and when it's working right and in balance, you tend to catch less "bugs." Probiotics aren't a medicine and, as far as any of us on here know, there's no such thing as overdosing (although if you take too much to start with, you can have a temporarily worse gas problem).

Chloryphyll is what makes plants green and there is something about it that makes it neutralize odors. I would assume most chloyphyll products are plant-derived, but read the labels of products to see.

You might also try charcoal caps; I don't know if they will help the odor (although I think they will), but they DO help reduce gas. And they are just what they sound like--charcoal (which is baked wood).

I have that "an animal crawled up inside of me and died" noxious gas! I use Gas-X after meals, and bean-o on the first bite of food. I too was a veggy, and now my doctor says to eat meat, and the total change in my diet........it's just crazy.
I have had UC for 4 years now, and the GAS battle is an ongoing thing. I wish I could buy stock in Gas-X or at least buy it by the case. My GI said I could take as much Gas-X or (generic Semethicone) as often as i wanted to. It really helps with the Gas Pain, and gives me some sense of control.

Also, as mentioned above the charchol tabs really work, and i used them for the 1st year, and don't travel w/o them. they do need to be taken 1 hour prior to supliments or meds, and/or 2 hours after.

I haven't been on an airplane since this problem.
Sometimes I sleep on the couch, cuz my hubby kicks my sticky gas outta the bedroom! it's so embarassing, but managable with Bean-o, and Gas-X, and last resort Charchol tabs. Good investment!

I don't know how many nights I've had to sleep on the couch or watch a movie from waaaaaaay the heck back in the very back of our basement. Away from my family! Even the dog makes a fuss and then of course realizes she needs to go outside next.

The times I've had it bad, I prefer to sip weak, hot tea, use a heating pad and wear comfortable clothing. Massaging my stomach, starting where the colon starts, working up and over and then down (a nurse in the hospital gave me this suggestion). I swear but this motion seems to hurry the gas out. Walking up and down steps helps too. And letting them rip......

It does pass. I am a firm believer in "we are what we eat". If I have organic yogurt twice a day, I see a huge improvement overall in my entire GI tract. The brand I currently find works best for me is Vanilla flavored Brown Cow. Found in the health food section.
