Hello everyone!  I am new here and came over from the Chrons board.  I am 27 yrs old and have two small children (5 and 3.)  I have been dealing with abdominal pain for most of my life.  I can remember mornings in high school where my stomach would be hurting so bad, I just accepted it and moved on.  I was later diagnosed with Endometriosis which I've had removed 2 times.  I am still having this upper right quadrant pain as well as lower abdominal pain.  They assured me that I'm endo free so they started the round of testing to figure out just what was wrong.  I had a HIDA scan (to test function of gallbladder), CAT scan, ultrasound, Upper GI (stomach and lower), and just yesterday a colonoscopy.  They thought for sure I had Chron's Diesase but alas again they said, "Everything is prefectly normal" which is what I've been told about every single test.  Not that I want something to be wrong but I want to know what is wrong, I'm sure you all will understand that.  I'm very frustrated!  Here are my basic symptoms:  nauseau, fatigue, d or c constantly, rt upper quadrant pain, lower abdominal pain.  I also have migranes a lot.  They thought in the beginning that I had IBS but gave me some meds and they didn't work so that's when they scheduled the other procedures.  Thanks for your answers and support in advance!

Did anyone check you for fibro? It is typically associated with muscle or joint pain primarily, but it can cause a lot of stomach problems too.

Have you been tested for food allergies? They can really mess up your stomach, and food allergies may also show up as sinus problems (possible cause of the migraines?).

Has anyone done a stool sample to check for bad bacteria? What about a breathalyzer for the same (to some degree, I think, they detect different bad bacterias).

Have your hormones been checked? If you have enometreosis, you probably have a hormone imbalance. That can wreck havoc on your guts and also cause migraines.

They had me on Hyoscyamine which is the generic for Levsinex.  I was taking it once a day.

As far as testing my stool, yes,  I just submited 3 bags full of my stool samples and nothing was wrong.

I had a full blood workup by my GYN and he said all of my levels were normal.

I don't know about food allergies, I've never had that tested but even when I wasn't eating my stomach still hurt.  It practically hurts every morning.

Thank you all for the suggestions.  Something to definatly think about.

I am going to start hanging out here if it's ok =)

I thought I'd come and read your story.  Yes - our symptoms are very much alike.  I've never been diagnosed with endometriosis - but still all the other symptoms are the same.  I've suffered from Migraines almost my WHOLE life - and since I haven't been able to eat all the horrible foods I was eating before I started getting sick -I've been migraine FREE.  I must have been allergic to something I was eating - or possibly a build up.  I think it was milk - I've never tolerated milk very well.  Even though I love it - especially a good bowl of cereal when you don't want a big meal.  Those days are long gone for me.  I'm looking to try Almond Milk - my sister is drinking it and she thinks it's better than Soy.  Anyway - it's kinda nice to see someone who basically has the same symptoms I do - so we're definitely not alone.  Hang in there.

Thanks!  You know, I've never been a big milk drinker, I honetly can't even tell you the last time I had a glass of milk.  I don't like cereal either so I never eat it.  The only way I really get milk is through cheese (which I rarely eat) or ice cream (which I eat about 2 times a week)  Who knows, the human body is so confusing!! =)  Glad I found you though!!!

Hi nsgrimm! Sorry for my late welcome...but, welcome to our world!

You're not kidding when you say the human body is so confusing. I'm sitting here taking a break from cramming the female reproductive hormones into my brain, and about to melt (I'm a med student and in my last set of final exams for the year)!

Sounds like you've got a lot going on, with two kidlets, migraines, endometriosis, and the rest. What kind of doctors are you seeing now? Do you have a GI?

If you've had a negative scope, CT, barium studies, ultrasound, HIDA, etc. that's a good sign that anything major and obvious and crazy has been ruled out. However, as you know, that doesn't mean that your suffering has ended. Pain is a funny thing. Bowel movements are funny things. They can really aggravate a person's life, but there's not necessarily a great way to treat 'em. Whatever happened with the hyoscyamine? Have you ever tried any other anti-cholinergic drugs like dicyclomine? Have you tried probiotics, fiber supplements? Eating nothing but a good diet with veggies and fruits and legumes and whole grains and baked poultry and fish? Abstaining from alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, all the rest?

Thank you for your reply.  I haven't tried any other medications, but I do have a great GI doctor. 

I am going to start trying to eat more fruits and veggies.  I don't drink, I haven't had an ounce of alcohol in 4 or 5 years.  I don't smoke, never have even put on to my mouth.  I do drink a soda a day and a cup of coffee.  I don't really eat bread because I don't care for it.

Thank you again for all of your suggestions, I think it's just pretty much to the point of trying to solve my problems by altering my lifestyle (exercising and diet) =)
