hurting so bad .what do I do?

Hey it's me again....the pain is getting worse instead of better. The doc called in Ultram for me today, and it is not working. Now getting severe pain in my lower abdoman. No ultram not helping. Would go to the ER but what can they do, doc says can't give me any strong pain meds cause they will constipate me more. But I am doubling over with pain. Can't stand up straight, when I walk the pain is so bad I can't stand it. WHAT CAN I DO !!!! Oh I hate this.any advide would be helpful at this time.

Tried heating pad, camameil tea, already on a liquid diet since yesterday, taking

Ultram,CHLORD/CLIDI, and HYOSCYAMINE. nothing working

Please help................. cry

Is your pain from constipation? Maybe the fiber needs to kick in, or you need to purge yourself with drinking tons of water, which has worked for me in the past, especially when combined with plenty of fibre. Sorry to hear you are suffeering so much with this.

Severe abdominal pain should not ever be taken lightly and maybe you should think about going to the ER after all. You do have Crohn's disease so it makes things more complicated...but better to be safe than sorry. I hope you can get this pain under control and even more importantly figure out what is causing it. Keep us updated!

hi! i am going through some horrible pain about 80% of the time and i used to have a doctor who really didn't believe in pain meds- said they would constipate me, so i ended up eventually changing doctors and found one that understood you cannot go through a chronic illness without them (consequently, that first doc died young of leukemia and i was really hoping he got a doc who didn't believe in pain meds... what goes around comes around, a little taste of his own medicine, or lack thereof!) i know that sounds harsh but with the kind of pain we go through there are days i wish i was dead. Today is one of them but i have four children so i no longer get to think only of myself. i can't screw up their lives just because i am in constant pain. anyway, maybe try a pain management clinic. my GI has no problem with giving me the pain meds i need but i am careful to only take them at the worst of times! Good luck and i wish i could do something for you tonight!

Wanted to let everyone know I am doing better. I guess I still had bowel backed up.......became great friend with the porcilin bowl last night and today feel better. Still cramping but not like yesterday. No pain pills today. Now just wonderinf I have been on straight liquids for almost 6 days, when should I try to start back on solids and what should I avoid?
