 8 days ago (day 0) I swallowed the capsule for a Sitz Marker study. Monday (day 5) I went for my xray and they said it was good - I had passed everything.

Only problem? I haven't had a bowel movement in several weeks, let alone in those 5 days. They did a chest xray and another abd xray today to check for the pill and it's no where to be found.

I definately took it and I definately didn't have a BM. Where did the darned thing go?? Any guesses?

Wow, what a mystery! I have no ideas here... But I'm curious to see what you all think.

What did your doc say about it when you contested having a BM????

Several weeks, correct. It'll be 4 weeks tomorrow. My stomach is huge, Gastro doctor doesn't seem too concerned keeps telling me to take laxatives which I've done for the past 2.5 weeks or so.

They're making me do another Sitz Marker test. They think I may have vomited it up.

Are you in any pain? Once I went without for 4 days and called my Doctor and he said unless I was in pain not to worry so I took some Dulcolax and it was fine. I guess if you are vomiting it is not getting that far into the colon. The sitz marker is made out of gelatin so it disolves from what I read like any capsule.
