Bloating and eating too much can definetly affect breathing though it is unusual in someone that has not lung problems. It is caused because your stomach is pushing on the diaphragm which is causing your lungs and airways to be restricted.. I have Emphysema and this is a major problem for most people with E. Try to eat smaller meals and try to stay away from things that will bloat you like carbonated drink, fried food, caffeine or whatevet bothers you.
I never eat when I am out shopping till the very end because I may not be able to walk back to the car without my oxygen getting severely decreased. If you are overweight that will make it worse.
Like I said it is fairly unusual to hear someone without lung disease mention it so if I were you, next time you are at the Doctors you might ask for a simple Spirometry test to see if you might be starting with lungs problems.
