Hi there,
I just wanted to know if these symptoms are common amongst IBS sufferers:
Basically when I deficate I feel almost all the time that there is still something in there (no matter how hard I strain or sit), even when my stools pass easily (i.e. no dry, hard stools like in constipation). Also, I don't know if this is standard or not, but I almost always urinate at the same time (have done all my life, even before my problems started), and once again I experience a small amount of urine trapped in my bladder. And the funny thing is, in the extremely rare case that I do feel like I have deficated completely, the last bit of urine follows immediately afterwards - it feels immensely relieving when this happens. So is it normal for proper bladder emptying to kind of depend on how well you can deficate (in the rare case I can fully empty my bowels, it feels like the released pressure of the faeces allows me to urinate completely)? And also are the feelings of incomplete evacuation (both bowel and bladder) connected to a common nerve supply, which may be damaged and causing my problems?
Just a note, I've had a colonscopy and nothing was found.
Thanks for the help.
