IBS and Anxiety

I'm a little confused about my nausea with IBS i have IBS sometimes C and D, But the worst of my symptoms is the nausea.

The nausea is usually when im anxious, I'm anxious when i'm out about where the nearest toilets are and then i start to panic about being sick, i get hot and lightheaded and start to heave as if im going to be sick. I'm always fine when at home.

Is it all in my head?? does anybody else get this??

My IBS is really getting me down and i get anxious over the IBS. Ive always been a very relaxed socaible person untill i found out about the IBS, I'm so afraid of throwing up in public.

I lost my job cause i had to get a 40 minute bus to work and when it started i'd have to get off the bus half way to heave.. eurgh i hate it!
It's really getting me down, i have no job, im scared of going for interviews, im hardly ever out the house !!
Yeah buses are the worst with all the windows shut horrible horrible.
Have you found anything that eases it a little bit??

No Ive heard peppermint caps, but they dont work, ill give them a try, im open to anything at the moment.

I suffer from both IBS and anxiety & depression.  I found that my IBS symptoms were greatly reduced when I started taking an anti-depressant.  I take Paxil now, but have tried many others.  Zoloft was the worst for me because it gave me so many digestive problems; with IBS, you don't need any more of that!  Anyway, I wasn't sure if you were taking anything for anxiety.  If not, it may help you all the way around.
