TOO MUCH MONEY

I'm so tired of spending so much money trying to get rid of IBS symptoms. But I'm really mad at myself right now. I went to a chiropractor who supposedly can relieve digestive issues, on the advice of someone I work with. She said this lady is kind of a "witch doctor." She was like "I don't know how she does it, she just makes you feel better." Well, I didn't actually end up seeing that woman, I saw her assistant, who supposedly did the same thing. My chief complaints are constipation and horrible smelling gas which makes my work life a nightmare. Okay, so she asked me if I have any problems with any kind of food and I told her that I might have a problem with dairy. So she made me hold my arm up, touched an area on my body and was able to push my arm down so she was like, "yeah, you definitely don't like dairy." And I was thinking...uh duh...I told you that. So she told me to avoid dairy, did some other tweaking and put me on a probiotic at four times the actual dosage. Well, for about a week, it seemed to be working. However, I didn't have to go to work in that wee, so I was much less stressed. Although I was having extremely weird reactions to anything alcoholic. I'm talking my dad cooked a glass of wine into a dish that otherwise wouldn't have caused me problems and I was horrid for three days after. Well, anyways, I finally decided after the initial time of feeling a little better that what she was doing was actually making me worse so I decided not to go back. Well, this is after I spent literally hundreds of dollars on these visits that would last about ten minutes and all the supplements. (I looked one up on the internet and they were charging more than double!) I'm so mad at myself for spending all that money! If it had worked, I would have been fine with it, but of course it didn't, so I'm now out all that money. The really insane thing is that I'm going to try another chiropractor, at someone else's recommendation. But I'm trying him once and if I see no changes, that will be the end of the chiropractors for me. But anyways, long story short, I looked up what the side effect of too much probiotic was on the net and guess what it told me...remember my chief complaint...well here is what it said:

Digestive Side Effects
* When taken in large quantities, probiotics may have some mild digestive side effects. These side effects include gas and bloating.

You were seeing a chiropractor that practices kinesiology; this is a very good form of healing for many things and people. You may want to look up kinesiology on the internet to learn more about it; it takes awhile to work and yes the supplements are usually very expensive because they are all natural. I used to go to a chiropractor who practiced kinesiology before I had my colectomy for severe constipation (colonic inertia). I now see just a kinesiologist who uses mainly essentional oils and some supplements. If you can find a chiropractor who practices this; it can be very helpful to you.
