I've had IBS-D for about 15 years. I was fortunate in that I had alot of funky symptoms, but not pain.
I'm a 60 y.o. female and I've been in menopause for about 5 years. Recently, its felt like my one ovary really hurt. I had an ultrasound and they are so shrunken that the doc says it can't be my ovary.
I'm going to wait awhile and see if this goes away on its own. I also have Fibromyalgia and have had so many pains that come up, but some of them go away as quickly as they came. So I've learned to not rush to the doctor's or the ER.
Anyhow........my bowels have been different for a few weeks too. Out of the blue, I'll get watery diarrhea, even though most of the time my IBS diarrhea is controlled with calcium supplements and low dose Zoloft.
So my question is: With IBS, can you get one defined point of pain that's always in the same place?
I sure hope this isn't something funky with my small bowel (like cancer).
Thanks.
