GET YOUR VITAMIN D AND B12 CHECKED ASAP!!!

Hello everyone,

I have just had my B12 and Vitmain D checked. They were both alarmingly low. I have had IBS problems for years, with lots of diagnosis that were wrong. Turns out all of was related to this and stress. I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy and they found nothing wrong. I am on shots and scripts and doing so much better. I can't believe it. Please please please do the research and get tested. It could really make a difference with your symptoms too. I was fascinated at the correlations bw these two vitamins and IBS.

I actually don't have anemia but have a dangerously low B12 and Vitmamin D level. Which is not normal for B12 deficiency.. Read up online, both can seriously effect the intestines and its function. However, they present themselves and effect the body in many other ways as well, such as bone development, neurological problems, mood swings and memory loss. Its not all surrounded around IBS.

I also have Pernicious Anaemia. Can I ask where you got the patches, and what else do you take tohelp yourself.

There is another company that has them for less, but the patches were poorly made and self-destructed when i peeled them off. went back to vita sciences. Blood work proved that they do work. The injections were very painful and more expensive than the patches.

Don't recall feeling full of energy after using them, but levels of B12 are within normal range, not low like they were. Good luck with them. The Vita company ships them out first class, so I get them fairly quickly.    linda

I live in the UK,and hoped there was a UK site that I could have used.
I have been getting injections every three months, but as I have no intrinsic factor in my gut, I feel I should be getting them more often.
I hate going to the doctor's, and I wish I could buy the injections and do it myself.

It's great that your husband helps you. Does the doctor prescribe them for you? Maybe I could ask my doctor to do that.
