I'm not sure Shawn. I think when new members join with questions about post-gall bladder removal surgery, enough members here offer info, links and things to try to make their situations better. I would imagine if you created a new forum for these patients, it wouldn't be a busy forum on a daily basis. But if you are trying to grab new members' attention when they scan down the list of available forums here and the website has the space, why not try it on a trial basis? I know I don't quite fall in line with the IBS group, nor the Colitis one but between the two forums I've been able to glean my own knowledge from both and find my own way. It's been my observation that people suffering from yellow bile discharge after GB surgery, find their own way too because their symptoms often times mimic IBS.
I've often wished there was a forum for people like me - who didn't have the IBS diagnosis or any bowel issue diagnosis, before having my colon resection (in my case from cancer). There are quite a few of us who find ourselves experiencing bowel issues, like IBS, Colitis, but we didn't get here the "traditional" way. I have no idea what name you'd give our forum but I have read more than just a few posts from members who start out their first post by stating they had bowel resections due to......blockage, nicks from other nearby abdominal surgeries, or cancer, like me. And then we have to somehow manage our symptoms to coexist in a normal bowel population. It's frustrating to say the least. Which is why we hang with you good folks!!!! You can relate to what we're going thru....
But I am getting off track.
I say try a GB forum for a month and see if you gather interest. If you start one, please consider having "inape" (I think that's her nickname here), contribute for a first info post, she's a WEALTH of info and sincere help to those that really need it.
