I'm 42 and for approx the last 2 weeks I have had diarrhea. It's only in the morning, and it's explosive. I need to hang around near the bathroom for up to 3 hours. I get no cramping before diarrhea.
I have had 2 stool samples come back negative for Giardia and other bugs. I have blood tests and all within normal range. I have lost 6 kilos in 2 weeks.
After eating I get some pain as the food is digesting and feel and hear the lower rumblings as the food is being digested.
All day I have pressure around my anus after I have been to the toilet. there is nothing there left to come out.
I am scared to eat as I know I will have to face it all in the morning.
I had a CT scan today (results next week).
This is impacting my life and I have a child that I need to take and pick up from school. Not to mention after school activities.
My doctor has no idea what is wrong with me and wants me to take imodium every day. This is making me feel depressed.
I have never had IBS before. I do have Interstitial Cystitis (painful frequent bladder condition), I take amytriptaline for that nightly and only 20mg. That has always cause a level of constipation. This is completely the opposite.
I have no idea what has triggered this off. I do have some anxieties, but the
Last couple of months things have been really great for us.
No matter if I have bland food or my normal diet, I still have explosive poo in the morning.
Does anyone hsve suggestions, ideas or what to eat or not eat? What to take.
Anything at all?
Thanks
