I, too, had redundant bowel and all that you say in your post was true for me. Finally also "colonic inertia". You seem to be stopped up. I got along for years with a dose of glycolax in my coffee every morning. Never skip a day, you will be sorry a week later. Now, recently, I had my entire colon removed and they found the ileum to be in trouble, too and took it out. Many colonoscopies, and barium enemas, and trips to the ER, many "expert" G I specialists and surgeons all missed it , several tried to force tranquilizers onto me. One even screamed at me "its all in your head, you're a hypochondriac." Well, now I have had Major surgery, with a failed super-long bowel which backed up the small bowel and now I only have 2/3 of small bowel left. I'll post more details later as this is big bad and life-threatening. Short bowel syndrome requires skilled self-care or you succumb to dietary lack of something. I'm just learning. This is a rare disease and the doctors don't know how to deal with it.
B12 deficiency, is for sure, also acid diarrhea. I'm giving up soon and begging for ileostomy. Will post more as soon as I learn to navigate this site. Llamama
