I never had any IBS symptoms until early December when I took Cipro for 6 days. It seems like it caused a lot of bad bacteria in my digestive system because I had burning bowel movements, blood on the stool, lighter stool color and discomfort in sitting down. It no longer hurts to make a bowel movement but I still have discomfort sitting down.
I have probiotic capsules I bought earlier in 2013. If I took a capsule back in the summer, nothing would happen. When I take a capsule now, 6 hours into digestion or so I will get a splitting headache and start sweating. The headache lasts for at least 12 hours.
What can I do to get rid of the bad bacteria, if there is any? I can't bear the head pain when taking a probiotic. Would it help at all if I submitted a stool sample to a doctor?
