IBS causing vasovagel response

I have been suffering from what is apparently Ibs for about 4 yrs now. I will get a terrible attack every now and then. I will get a sharp pain in my abdomen and it feels like a spasm, then my hearing will go, and then I wake up on the floor. I have gone to the ER twice when this happened and they always do the same thing, give me fluids via IV, and tell me it is vasovagel response to my pain. i just don't think that they are giving it enough of a look. I am down for the whole day when it happens. Not to mention I have a terrible headache for 3 days afterward because of passing out. Does anyone else have the same effects??

If your bowel is overstretched the vagus nerve says "help is needed" but it doesn't identify the whereabouts of the originating pain. In my case a look at the outside of the bowel, not the inside. would have discovered the problem. Also in my case my wrist, back and left heel would hurt (they already had known problems and just got worse pain when the bowel was bloated up) a BM would immediately stop the pain. Also the heart beat is affected, mostly slows. I almost had a pacemaker before I had the bowel surgery. Maybe this will help you discover what to do. Miralax in my coffee kept me alive for years by softening the stool.
