I wouldn't cut it without keeping a record of how much you have consumed first. Caffeine is often implicated in issues with the digestive tract, so the coffee may be the culprit. I'd suggest starting a food log. It will let the doc see exactly what you consume, get rid of the problem of them not believing you when you say you aren't eating, and will make you more aware of what you're putting into your body. Just make sure to include the amounts of food. I remember a story a doctor once told me regarding a patient who came to them with extreme anxiety. The patient, when asked how much soda they drink, said "just one or two". The doctor had enough forethought to ask "one or two what". Turns out, the patient was drinking costco-sized bottles of coke by herself, every day. She didn't have anxiety, just a caffeine overdose, but it would have been missed without the doctor having the information on the amount she drank.
