Lomotil

has anyone taken Lomotil (diphenoxylate)?

i have started it today and have had extreme nausea all day, will it subside with further use?

I don't take Lomotil but I found a link for some good info for you. It looks like nausea is a possible side effect but if it continues you should contact your doctor.

Bunny, I don't remember having nausea with the Lomotil. It actually had very few side effects on me. Except it didn't really work in the first place anyway! Is your D slowing down? You might give it a few days to see if your body adjusts to it. Nausea is the absolute worst! Worse than the D for sure! I hope it goes away!

During my Navy days, I would take two lomotil two hours before a long C-130 flight ( no toilets on the C-130s). It never failed me and I had no ill side affects. I use it all the time.
