Hello my name is onejobette, and I am new to this site here. I have a question about
IBS associated with pregnancy. First of all, I have had IBS now for about
a year and a half. Very painful. It's like pms for your stomach!
Anyhow, I have no children, and I don't know, I THINK, but I'm probably not, pregnant. I say this to say, and don't mean to be to personal, but I am due for my "friend"
on the 24th or 28th. I did take a test, and it came up negative. However, the usual symptoms I personally would be getting, around this time now, are not present.
You know how IBS works, and I had a HORRIBLE attack this morning. The abdominal pain, the nausea, horrible pain, and finally, vomiting. I took a prescribed pill from my doctor. But my question is this: CAN pregancy cause IBS to trigger? I read somewhere on this post about
stress causing ibs? no, but that once you already have it, stress and active hormones (or whatever, didn't get a chance to look at it real good) can trigger and IBS attack.
Hope I was not to "detailed" ? in my post here, but this has been a question I've been wondering about
now for a while.
Thank you
