Hi Robert- you know, it's funny- different things bother different people. To answer your question, decaf tea and herbal teas are supposed to be pretty to very safe for people with IBS. Something about
coffee for some reason, doesn't agree with us. I'm a tea drinker anyway, so no bother there. However, some people can tolerate caffeine or coffee or whatever. I think it's a very individual thing. My mother has 'undifferentiated' (sp.?) colitis and can have massive D at tiems, but she drinks copious and I mean copious amounts of Coke or Pepsi daily ( most people with D can not do either caffeine or carbonation or both). Sometimes it's about
all she can tolerate. Likewise, she can eat ice cream (go figure!) but NO milk- big D- and she's not lactose intolerant. Anyway, be cautious with your trials and tribulations- good luck and hope you can tolerate some fun things.
