Would anyone go this far??

Hello I have done that it depends on the kind of vehicle you have. If its a Minivan or suv its nice cause you have room to hop to the back, with a car or truck its much harder. It saves you time from having to get out locks the doors and run and to me it does kinda help with the anxiety you have to worry about finding a place to go. I have been told though i cant seem to find it yet. There are people who will install a small bathroom in your minivan if you are disabled.

do u guys actually use the toilets in ur minivans?? im just thinking, would i actually use it, or feel comfortable in using it

I haven't ever needed to put a toliet in my car--thankfully--but we had a portable toliet in our pop-up camper and it wasn't any trick to use it--you just sit on it and do your business. We just saved it for nighttime and morning peeing, so I don't know about pooping in one, but it does flush! You pump the water into it, then pull the handle out that opens the bottom part (like an airplane toliet) and down it goes into the storage container. You can empty the "gray water" out in your toliet at home (at least my mother did that a few times without problems).

My fiance and I tent camp and our chamber pot consists of a coffee can (although I've been begging him to let me buy a real chamber pot). Now THAT is something that it takes some getting used to in terms of peeing into it. Of course it's no trick for him, but it's a bit of a challenge for me. That's why I want a proper pot--it's bigger and has a gentle, rolled metal edge (as opposed to a narrow, sharp one). What's funny is we have told our friends about it and now several of them have them too. Some people go so far as to put cat litter in the bottom, but I don't think it's really necessary. I just carry it to the toliet with me in the mornings once I'm up and dressed and pour it out in there. I give it a rinse at the outside faucet and leave it outside to dry and air out. You can find chamber pots in antique stores and in old-timey general stores, especially in Amish/Mennonite communities. Even an antique pot is cheaper than a portable toliet and the chemicals to put in it (and takes up less room). To poop in it, you can put the kitty litter in the bottom to help absorb any odors and then just toss it out when you get home like you would with a cat's litter box.

Sheryl, could you rig yourself up a chamber pot like I was talking about, then just set it up in the passenger seat and sit on it and do your business? If you are pulled over on the right-hand shoulder and are in the right-hand seat, no one will be able to see into your car to see you sitting on it.
