Galbladder?

This whole IBS thing SUCKS big time!!!    I'm still having lower abdominal pain (dull ache).  My ascending colon is very tender and I'm also getting pain under my right rib sometimes spreading to my back (I know, galbladder hey?).  I've had an abdominal sonar and they specifically checked for liver/galbladder problems.  NOTHING!!  Doc says it's gas buildup.  I am extremely flatulent the past two weeks.

So none of my docs are available (on leave).  I'm going to my parents for Christmas and it's a 2 hour drive.  I'm so scared something terrible is happening to me.  I'm getting very depressed and even my mother is very worried about me.  I don't even feel like eating anymore as the pain is then less.  I did manage to get hold of my specialist physician at the hospital and he is a really great guy.  I could only speak to him on the phone, and he asked me if I have any diarhea, vomiting or fever.  Nope...just dull stomach pain and a spasm of my right side part of the colon and rectal area.  And those parts are very sore too when I touch it.  He said that I should not be worried that it is anything serious as I had a colonoscopy and abdominal scans and bloodwork that came out clean, so it is just part of my IBS.  He gave me "spasmo-canulase" from Novartis to use and see if the flatulence gets any better.  But now he is on leave till 15 Jan!!!  My GI doc will only be back on Jan 2nd.  What must I do guys...I'm constantly depressed and I feel like crying all the time.  I'm misrable all the time cause of all of this and it's isolating me from my family that I only see once every two or three months.  I read up on galbladder and now I'm all obsessed that this is my galbladder.    All of this nonesense started after my colonoscopy early this year.  My doc thinks I'm nuts when I said to him I'm sure the scope had something to do with it.  I had some rectal polyps removed and a scope done to check for any problems and BAM!!!  Welcome to IBS land.....    Although I'm not too convinced this is just IBS.  Do any of you also get this pain under the right ribs and the right side of the colon?  Sometimes my back will also be sore in that area?

Have you read the post by Keriamon that is titled "The Definitive Guide to Gallbladder Disease"? It is super insightful - I'll bump it up. Have you had a hidascan done to thoroughly check your gallbladder? Gallbladders are tricky, they may not show up as faulty in ultrasounds and blood work. The only good way to check them is via hidascan.
If you think all of this happened after your scope, you could be right. In order to get scoped you need to clean out your entire digestive system... You could have cleaned out all the "good" bacteria your system needs to work properly. Are you on probiotics to get yourself back in balance? You might want to try yogurt for a while and see if that helps you. Dannon Activia is the most recommended; most of us on this board love it.
I am so sorry you are going through such a hard time right now. The holidays don't help either. The added stress is not good for GI problems. Try to relax. Don't eat too much before your trip and try taking some antigas meds and maybe even Imodium if you think it could help. See if you can get your hands on some calming tea too. Not before your trip though. Tea is a diuretic, you don't need to be stopping to pee every 30 min during your 2 hour drive.
