 yesterday i couldnt use the restroom at all and then today at around 1:20 i finally used the restroom and i couldn't go anymore and i had to work and when i got home around 8 I ate a grilled chicken breast and was fine ..but then later on my stomach was hurting and so i tried to use the restroom nothing but gas came out so I decided to bathe my dog and while i was my stomach was hurting really bad and I felt like OK YOU need to get on the POT! but i couldnt leave my dog in the bath alone so i finished her up and got on the toilet...and for about maybe 40mins i sat there cramping and PAIN and i got really nauseas and almost threw up and my face was so hot! I felt like I was about to die or atleast wanted to just to get rid of the pain!  ........ has this ever happend to anyone .oh yea i had diarrea...

So sorry you have been feeling so horrible lately. Did you try taking anything for the pain and cramping? Antispasmodic, tea, etc.? Have you tried a heating pad yet? Usually I do some deep breathing, fire up the tea kettle and bust out the heating pad. Sometimes the fetal position helps too.
Have you spoken to your doc about Zelnorm and/or antispasmodics?

So you kept feeling like you needed to go, but nothing came out except a little gas, until that evening when you finally had a big burst of diarrhea? That's not dissimilar to my gall bladder attacks. I would wake up in the middle of the night usually (sometimes I had them during the day too) and hurt and hurt and hurt and then I'd get sick to my stomach and I'd go sit on the toliet and have to wait until the sickness built up enough to the point that I figured I'd either die or have a bowel movement or vomit (or all three), then I was finally able to have a bowel movement--usually a normal one followed by a lot of diarrhea. I can't remember if my face got hot, but I certainly had problems with internal temperature regulation; I got horribly chilled after the episode passed.

yea i was on Zelnorm for awhile but it seems like my symptoms? got worse so we got off of that and now im on a medicine that is supposed to help the cramping Hycomaine? i usually dont wake up in the middle of the night though..to use the restroom...i usually only used to have the problem that i had last night when i ate pizza but i havent had that in awhile removing the grease helps alot by the way well for me anyway

Hyoscamine didn't help me at all. It helps some people, but not a lot, it seems. Definitely talk to your doctor about trying something else; there are a lot of antispasmodics out there, but they all seem to be hit or miss: they either help wonderfully or not at all.

its sounds like u may have ibs. i will oftn get the pain w/D so bd i become very anxious. i freak sometimes. I used to take levsn which is hyoscamine but it stopped working after a while and they put me on levsid which is a stronger version. It seems to be helping for the most part. It gives you bad dry mouth though, which is a small price to pay for less or no pain.

A heating pad does help! I tried it after reading about it here and I found it helped a lot. Also, deep breaths and trying relax will help some too. I often remind myself about the horrible things in life I don't have to face. That will sometimes help a little too.

Today, on my period of course but ive had six bowel movements. All of which were formed. But I feel icky. A combo of fear, period cramps and some ibs cramping. Haven't eaten for about twelve hrs and still having small solid bowel movements. I hope im ok

yea..im a guy...when i was younger i used to get these strong stomach pains and we would go to the mall alot then and i would start freaking out and panicing ..and i did the same thing last night because i had kidney stones when i was in flordia this past summer and i felt the same pain but except it was like not on my side but where my stomach or w/e was so i started texting people on my phone to get my mind off of it ......and my sister was the only one up at 11 o'clock so she helped alot

YEP...the same exact thing happens to me! I have Crohn's and IBS. I am always constipated and I am taking Amitiza which helps great but I get those episodes right before I go. about 2 days a week this happens to me and I feel like either I am going to throw up, pass out from the pain, or just die. My face gets very hot and my face starts dripping from sweat. After the episodes I am freezing but my stomach pain is gone. Sometimes I have to sit on the toliet throughout the day before I actually get to go which makes it worse because the pain does not go away until I am able to go. Starts off with normal bowel movements and then dirrahea. I tell my GI this all the time and he acts as if I am the only one that has this problem. Never has a reason or anything. I have not found anything that helps at all. I just take the pain and hope it goes away quick.

Gosh, KitKat, that sounds just like my gall bladder attacks. Before it went bad, I was naturally a bit on the constipated side, so when it wasn't acting up, I might be a little constiated. When it acted up, D all the time. Check out my posting on gall bladder disease and see if you have any of the other symptoms. It took doctors 5 years to discover my gall baldder was bad, despite the fact that I had textbook symptoms (nursing textbook--I looked!) and had a family history of GB disease. Duh, how thick do you have to be? Everyone in my family had me diagnosed long before any doctor did because everyone in my family had had GB disease!

Gallstones do run in my family. I have had symptoms since I was 18 (30 now) and I have had numerous ultrasounds and nothing. The GI doctor has decided after the 4th one that I am not getting anymore. I do have a dull ache on my upper right side that is so annoying and it is usually from eating. I agree with you about the gallbladder and I have been saying it for 12 years now but they have not found anything. I have had tons of tests for my Crohns and IBS and they never saw anything. I also have GERD. Sometimes I get so aggravated with these doctors!!! When I go for my check up in March I am going to bring up my gallbladder once again. I think the dr thinks I am nuts. Thats how he made me feel when I was complaining of constipation when I have Crohn's. After 2 years of annoying the dr and having my family doctor call him he finally took me serious and diagnosed me with IBS-C and started me on Amitiza. My mother, a few cousins, grandmother and 4 aunts all had gallstones and had to have their gallbladder removed. Thanks for your posting because I was begining to feel like I AM nuts and now I know it is the doctor not me.

Maybe you should talk to your doc about having a HidaScan -- that seems to be the best method for finding a bad gallbladder.

Yep. If your gall bladder is bad, but doens't have stones, then it will never, ever, ever show up as bad on an ultrasound. It will ONLY show up on a hidascan. And to be honest, it took three hidascans to find mine. Apparently a lot of tests aren't as reliable as the medical community would lead us to believe.
