Hi all,
I see that this post is fairly old, but thought I'd see if anyone still reads/replies to this. I had my gallbladder removed 9 months ago, had normal BM's for about 3 months, but then went on a "wedding diet," aka low fat, low calorie and started having awful diarrhea throughout the day but especially after eating lunch and dinner. At that time, my doctor prescribed the generic version of Questran for me. At first I really thought it was a miracle drug. But about 4 months in, I started getting AWFUL stomachaches, gas, nausea, cramping and bloating in the hours after taking it. about 2 weeks ago, I decided to stop taking it and see if the diarrhea was really worse than the side effects the medication had. So then I waited for the diarrhea to return. But it hasn't, as of yet. So I'm wondering if my body somehow stopped producing as much bile or something??? Why else would I just not have diarrhea now?? I'm so confused! And really hoping this lasts, with no meds, and no diarrhea! Thoughts anyone?
