constant belching

I have constant belching for a month now-doesn't seem to let up-tried gas-x, tums etc.....some pain on left side under rib cage-I watch what I eat-exercise fairly regularly-belching will stop me from getting a restful night-had an ovarian cyst removed a couple of years ago-problems started then-doctor said could be scar tissue-gallstones or just gas-does anyone else have this problem? mayby some advice-tks

thks for info-i'm getting concerned-i'm going to try low carb etc....did the doctor prescribe anything at all for your condition? so then by doing this you have been successful in eliminating the problem? charliegirl

I get a lot of gas and belching too. I've gotten so used to it now that it doesn't even bother me... unless I have heartburn with it. Have you been scoped (EGD)? It's not uncommon for GERD or acid reflux to cause this. Has your doc given you an RX for the gas? Years ago my doc prescribed Prevacid for all my belching, nausea and heartburn.
