Hi all -
I'm usually on the depression board, but was recently diagnosed with IBS-C. I get a lot of bloating and what feel like "cramps". Exercise seems to help, but I haven't had a lot of time nor motivation lately. I haven't really figured out which foods to avoid except brocoli and apples. I love to eat salads and sandwiches for lunch. Sometimes I have problems with them other times I don't. Eggs can also go either way for me. What I've been eating lately and seems to work is scrambled eggs with salsa and cheese wrapped in a tortilla. I also drink one cup of coffee in the morning, this seems to be enough to get me going and also helps with the C. But, my diet is extremely lacking in fiber. I know this is something that I need to work on and I do read the labels before making my purchases, but I've never been one to eat lots of fruits and veggies. Any ideas or suggestions on how to slowly introduce them into my diet, so my gut will thank me for it?
Also, I'm getting tired of eating the same things and need some new ideas for dinners. I usually don't have a lot of energy at the end of the day and it can be difficult to cook for just myself, so I fall into just grapping whatever is in the fridge which always seems to leave me in pain. I'd like to get into the habit of cooking meals on the weekends and having them ready to eat throughout the week. But, usually after I've eating the same thing three days in a row I'm sick of it!
Thanks in advance!
