My GI dr gave me a lot of samples of the Flora - Q so I dont' have to buy it just yet - thankfully :-)

Last time I did go to health food store and bought a similar product for about $16.

Well if you can get it for free that's great but once you have to start buying it you'll likely find it to be $$...That was one of the other reasons I went back to the primadophilus reuteri, it's affordable and only 1/day is needed, even if one felt the need to take 2 it's still cheaper then flora Q plus with the flora Q I noticed some excess gas, when I went back to the primadophilus it stopped.

I've tried Flora-Q 2 which is double strength (green and white bottle) 1 capsule a day (30 in a bottle) and it's almost saved my sanity!  :-)   It's pricey so if you can get samples from your doc, go for it. I've called the world looking for a reduced price (even Costco) but the cheapest I've been able to find here in NJ is at Target for $35 a bottle and they had to special order it for me via the pharmacy. Given how much I've searched for something to help my IBS, I'm just happy I found something that works so well for me. Within 2 days I started feeling signficiantly better. I'll have to sacrifice buying other stuff but that's quite alright if I am feeling better.

BTW, Flora-Q 2 is free of the following allergens: wheat/gluten, milk/lactose, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, soybeans, tree nuts and peanuts.

Contains no preservatives.

I've read through a number of previous posts and you seem to have problems similar to mine. Its all new to me. My diet and my eating habits changed resulting in irregular BMs and a bloated distended stomach which made me look like I was 6 months pregnant. I'm experimenting .
This is what I'm using now....
1. A probiotic...DDS Plus / L ACIDOPHILUS-L BIFIDUS two before breakfast
2.Digestive Enzymes (Nature's Life) one before each meal
3. Veggies & Fruit (concentrate) follow directions by OLEDA
4. Plenty of water

I've tried a lot of things that weren't acceptable. I hope this works. This just shows what someone else is trying.

Good luck is finding what works for you. I know its frustrating.
