Welcome back, nst...I'm sorry to hear you are having a rough go of it on your first day of school. Can I ask if your symptoms became worse just recently, or have you felt this way the entire summer? Are you in pain, or is it more of a feeling like you just can't "go?" Did you make it to school today?
I think your mother feels your frustration, and is also frustrated in that it's difficult to know how to make you feel better. It sounds like she is concerned about your education and wants you to be able to accomplish those wonderful goals you have (going to college, visiting France); but she knows that in order for you to do those things, keeping up with your schooling is necessary.
Whatever happened with homebound tutoring last year? Did it work out better? Do you have a counselor at your school that you could make an appointment with and talk about your concerns? Have you seen your doctor lately? I don't remember what medications you've tried but I know there's help out there for you.
Don't give up, even when you've had such a rough day - there are steps you can take to relieve your symptoms and enjoy your senior year!
