jsut sayign hi to every one. i hvaenet been on here for a while. i hvae ben ill agian. i am still waiting for my colonscopy re****s whcih i had done abuot sevon weeks ago now. i am still in loads of pian and geting d. it is at it's wosre agian. i thnik it is bcuase my unlce is serously ill in hostipal at mo. not raely sure if is giong to pull thuogh. the last few weks hvae ben hell.

Hi Oneday- sorry to hear that you're feeling gross.  That totally sux.  Try to relax and take care of yourself until you get your results.

Sorry you're still feeling bad.  You should call your doctor and ask about the test results.  One, they formed an opinion about everything they saw when they saw it, so there's no reason why they can't tell you that now.  Two, even if they did take a sample of lining or a poylp or something of that nature, it doesn't take 7 weeks to get lab results back.  More likely than not, they've just not bothered to call you back or write you a letter.  That's quite common in the US among doctors, actually.  It's usually a case of "nothing's wrong with you, so why bother to tell you that?"  It's obviously a horrible thing to do, but still they do it.

thnnaks i will contact thme if i donet hear from thme soon. i kinda come to thta conculsion as i am surposet to know if thye want to see me agian or discharge me. i am guesing thta thye are dischareing me even thuogh i hvaenet seen the gastronoloist. thye just sent me for a colonscopy. i thnik thye feel thta it is only ibs so thye donet bother. it is only ibs to thme but at the mo it is ruining my life. i went out at the weekend and had to come home as i was in so much pian. i had to sit on the trian home curled up in anogy and thne crawl home from the sation. i am on anitdepressants for pian managemnt and aslo codrymol piankillers but still it doesnt help wiht the pian.

i am giong to see gp in a few days and io am giong to demand to get refferd to a pian clinic. there is so much i want to do and thsi is stoping me.

I wish Doctors would get it thru their heads that no news to use is not good news. When I had Kaiser they would only notify you when something was wrong but I always felt that it was a poor way of handling things so I called and sure enough someone was supposed to call me for a followup so even though I don't have Kaiser anymore I give a few days and if haven't heard I call. For colonscopies they followup appt when they schedule the colonscopy. Usually 10 days to get biopsies back. Also, when I have CT scans done I go in for copies as soon as I know they are ready. It is often the staff not the Dr. that messes up by not calling that all is OK. Got to stay on top of everything these days.
