Hi Easta,
Just wanted to say that I sometimes have that "wobbly" feeling after a big movement. I tend to feel shaky, weak and just generally "out of sorts." I've always attributed it to the fact that the huge urge to go gives me something like an adrenaline rush, and when it's over it takes a while for my systems to return to normal. Also feeling physically drained makes sense to me because you literally did just drain things from your body.
Keriamon's advice about
drinking gatorade is a good one, I try to drink lots of water also. It's important to replenish your fluids, especially if you've had a large amount of loose stool. I also find that eating something afterward is important -- toast works well for me because it's light and absorbed easily. Eating helps me get rid of that empty, weak, shaky feeling.
As for the heart pounding and the hard time breathing -- it may be that you are experiencing a little bit of anxiety about
your physical symptoms. Since these diminish over the course of the day I would say you should not worry about
them...when they happen try to relax and take deep breaths and take your mind off of that morning's BM...see if that helps any.
I hope it does! IBS sure stinks sometimes! (pun intended
) Most of the time I can get through it but I do have those especially rough D days when I feel so worn out I stay in bed all day.
Good luck, hope you get some relief soon!
