This is my first time doing a stool sample.  I forgot to ask at the lab, and I'm too mortified to call and ask now.  I'm just wondering how much I should put in the little cup?  I mean, just a teeny little bit, or all of it?

My doctor told me to take a clean, old, never to be used again tupperware container and to go in that, then to fill up the little cup about 1/2 to 3/4 full. It's much easier and less messy then to try and aim for the little cup.

Oh, they gave me the little hat thing to put in the toilet, they just never told me how much to pour in the cup.

Probably best to fill the little cup halfway.  I always had watery D in mine so it was like doing a urinalysis, HA!

Oh you lucky dog. I have never gotten something to put in the toilet for my stool samples. At one point I was having to turn one in every couple of weeks. A hat thing to put in the bowl would have been wonderful.

Im using wax paper on my throne :-) this week. Isnt this soooo much fun? They always tell me how much to put in Treester so dont feel bad,they should have told you. My nurse just told me about using saran wrap I used wax paper and it really was easier. Slides right off lol.

Usually on the container they ask you to put it in has a line on it which indicates how full they want it...it usually has a liquidy gel so as you place the specimen in you keep adding until you hit the "fill" line on the bottle.

I've used saran wrap place across the bowl and then put the seat down over it, this works too if you don't have a little potty thing that you place on the bowl and then put the seat down.
