salicylate and aspirin issues

Is anyone's IBS badly aggravated by an aspirin-intolerance or a salicylate-intolerance?

Aspirin can be a real no-no for people with stomach issues; it can cause random gastrointestinal bleeding and ulcerations in sensitive stomachs! If you have bad IBS and aspirin gives you problems, surely best to stay away. Aspirin can be hard on some people who don't even have IBS. I rarely take it myself!

I started having bowel problems after taking ibuprofen for viral arthritis. I had to give up the ibuprofen, but thankfully the arthritis was going away at the same time so I didn't have to chose between being in pain and being on the pot.
