Question about Senokot-S

I had a diagnosis of IBS-D about ten years ago.
It went away. Thank goodness!!
Now I have other kinds of health problems.
I have severe constipation which is pretty much cured by Senokot-S.
I take 5 pills every night.
Does anybody know of any problems with taking that many.
(It's REALLY expensive)

Stimulant laxatives such as Senokot® Tablets, Senokot-S® Tablets, and SenokotXTRA® Tablets are for occasional use only, unless directed otherwise by a doctor.
Use stimulant laxatives for no longer than seven (7) days, unless directed otherwise by a doctor.
Stimulant laxatives should not be taken for any purpose other than the relief of occasional constipation, unless directed otherwise by a doctor.

This is not something to mess around with, does your doc know that you're taking it long term? It can also interact with other meds if you're on any.
