stop the gum for a while and see how you do. The problem is the stomach. If you were checked out and there was nothing wrong then it is probably just a functional problem. I have had it all my life, at least since my 20's. The other possibility is to check for female problems and rule that out. I am surprised the Gas-x didn't work as when I talked to my doctor about it after he finished telling me about the gum, etc he said Simethicone, simethicone, simethicone. It does help but not to the degree that I think he thinks it does. Less food, no dairy, no slurping drinks while eating, behavior modification do first. Some of the acid reducers make mine worse so I stay with Pepcid but the peppermint, fennel and ginger pills help also. It is disgusting to look in a mirror for me at times.
