confused  hi, my name is kayann and I am having surgery on april 28,2009 I am having a total colectomy. can anyone on this web site have any experience on this i am scared. am i on the right site or not please let me know. thankyou kayann

Hi Kayann,

Was just passing through on my way to the ostomy site and noticed your post.  You will be able to get an enormous amount of valuable information from very friendly and knowledgible people on the ostomy site.  If you go to the Total Colectomy part 22 and back you can read posts and ask questions; everyone will welcome you and be very willing to answer ANYTHING you might come up with.

I had a subtotal colectomy in July 08; I have 2 in. of my colon left.  It was the absolute best thing I ever did for my body and health; I have never felt better.

Kayann, Just was wondering how you are feeling since your surgery. I am going to have one in a couple of weeks and wanted to know how your recovery has been. Marisa
